Sabri Tunca was born in Istanbul in 1986. He discovered the art of felting by chance in 2008 an encounter that instantly filled him with joy. He developed his skills through a process of trial and error, which he believes to be the most effective teacher. Although he occasionally stumbled, he continued to experiment with enthusiasm.
What began as a hobby gradually transformed into a fantastical world where everything is made of felt. He brings his creations together under the name “Feltthink”, guided by the motto: “Felt everything!”
Tunca enjoys exploring concrete concepts as their meanings shift and transform. He constantly seeks new angles and perspectives, questioning the norms of reality and the essence of self. Guided by soft wool, he spontaneously expresses forms through color and texture, giving shape to the imaginary world within his mind creating works that are experimental, instinctive and beyond definition.
Recently relocated to San Francisco, Tunca is ready to keep growing creatively and to share his experience through workshops, collaborations, and exhibitions.
